The Invisible World: Heaven
Heaven Is Home — Jesus Is Our Reward
Have you ever been on a trip that was amazing — but by the end of it, all you could think about was getting back home?
It didn’t matter how nice the hotel was, how beautiful the scenery looked, or how exciting the experience felt… it still wasn’t home.
That’s exactly how Scripture describes this life: we’re not home yet.
In 2 Corinthians 5:8, Paul writes, “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
For the believer, Heaven is more than a place. It’s a Person.
It’s being with Jesus — forever. No more pain, no more confusion, no more fighting just to keep your peace. Just… Him. Wholeness. Rest. Glory.
Here’s the big truth:
If Heaven isn’t your home now, it won’t be your hope then.
That doesn’t mean you live with your head in the clouds. It means you live with your heart anchored in eternity. You spend your days with the end in mind. You measure your choices by what matters forever — not just what feels good now.
That’s how Jesus lived. That’s how the Apostles lived. That’s how you can live — starting today.
This week, try this:
Think about one area where you’re living like earth is home. Surrender it in prayer.
Read John 14:1–3 and imagine Jesus preparing a place just for you.
Read Revelation 21-22 and imagine the beauty of eternity.
Let this be your anthem: “Heaven is my home. Jesus is my reward.”
You don’t have to have it all figured out — you just have to stay faithful.
Because one day soon… the trip will be over.
And you’ll finally be home.
